The laundry. It’s something that many of us don’t like doing, but it simply has to be done. That doesn’t mean that we can’t make it easier for ourselves, of course! There are a lot of items that you can buy to make your laundry experience much easier. For instance, you can buy anti vibration pads for your washing machine.
So, before you embark on doing the laundry next time, make sure that you have some of these essential items at your disposal first to make the experience much easier and more enjoyable.
Laundry Detergent
While it is possible just to wash your clothes with the water in the washing machine drum, it’s probably not the best idea. It’s a much better idea to invest in some laundry detergent. You can get detergent in a number of different styles these days, from liquid to specific laundry pods so there’s something to suit everyone’s laundry style. You can get the high end brands and there are also cheaper brands if you need to save money. Of course, make sure that you are checking the information on the box to learn if there are any irritants in the detergent, since choosing the wrong laundry detergent can sometimes cause people to have allergic reactions if they have sensitive skin. Choose the right formula for you and you should be good to go!
Baking Soda
Now, this isn’t necessarily something that you would put directly into the washing machine, but it is something that you should have on hand when doing your laundry. The problem is that people can be messy and can sometimes smell a little. Sometimes the stains and smells can be quite difficult to remove from things like clothing or bed sheets. So what do you do? You apply a little bit of baking soda to the garment in question. This will usually help to balance out the smell because the pH level is more regulated. It can also remove particularly tough stains. It’s also affordable, which is always a huge benefit.
Garbage Can
A garbage can is something small but important that you are going to need for your laundry room. This is because you are going to have to get rid of things like the packaging of your detergent or your dryer lint in there. Make sure that you have a small bin in your laundry room for easy disposal.
Iron
When your laundry is done, you’re going to want to make sure that your clothes are all ready to wear, right? Nobody likes having to wear clothes full of creases, after all. As such, make sure that you have an iron in your laundry room too. This will help you to ensure that your clothes are all ready to wear. Other small things like sewing supplies will also be useful just in case you need to make any repairs in the future.
Hamper
Having a hamper in your laundry room will be helpful too. This way, your clothes will be easier to transfer into the washing machine when it’s time to do the laundry. You could get something like a double hamper too that will allow you to keep certain kinds of clothes separate, and they’re very spacious!
Washing Machine
Well, duh! You could do your laundry manually using your hands and some laundry detergent, but this can take quite some time to do. In today’s age, it’s a lot harder to find that kind of time, not to mention it’s tiring too. As a result, it’s better if you can get a washing machine. A washing machine will do all of the hard work for you – it’s just a matter of putting the detergent in the right place and pressing a few buttons.
Dryer
You’re also going to want to get a dryer. Again, there are ways to do your laundry without one, such as hanging the laundry up to get dried by the air. Once again though, this can be quite time consuming. Instead, a dryer will, well, make all of your clothes dry! You’ll need to transfer the laundry from the washing machine and into the dryer. When you have done this, press the correct button and away you go. If this isn’t your first time using the dryer, it’s also important that you empty out the lint tray. The last thing that you want is to be dealing with a house fire because you haven’t emptied the lint!
