- You need to have a full-time 3 year diploma in electrical engineering from a West Bengal State Council of Technical Education accredited institute/college (renamed as West Bengal State Council of Technical and Vocational Education and Skill Development)
- Except for WBSETCL employees, degrees from open universities, distance learning, part-time, and sandwich courses will not be considered for WBSETCL JE recruiting.
- Candidates in their final semester/year of their degree/diploma course are eligible to sit for the WBSETCL JE test; however, their results must be submitted prior to the interview.
- Candidates who have completed their B. A or B. Sc are ineligible to apply for the exam.
