What is MultCloud?
As a multifunctional cloud file manager for free, MultCloud can help you to transfer, sync and backup files from all your clouds through a single interface with its distinctive features like Cloud Transfer, Cloud Sync and Remote Upload. You can also manage files stored in cloud drives by some basic functions of MultCloud such as Upload, Download, Cut, Copy, Delete, Preview, Rename and Share.
MultCloud supports more than 30 major cloud drive services like Google Drive, Adrive, Dropbox, OneDrive, Flickr, MEGA, Hubic, Backblaze, etc. So, you don’t have to worry that some of your clouds maybe can’t be synced through MultCloud. What’s more, you can add as many cloud accounts as you have since MultCloud sets no limitation on the quantity of adding clouds.
How to Do Cloud to Cloud Sync through MultCloud?
Compared to transfer files from one cloud account to another which can be seen as a one-way sync in some degree, Cloud Sync allows you to sync two cloud accounts at once no matter in one-way or two-way mode so as to backup your clouds. And all you have to do is to add the clouds which you are going to sync to MultCloud and then let MultCloud to complete the sync task.
Step 1: Sign up MultCloud. MultCloud offers you another way to enter it without adding your personal information by clicking “Try without signing up”.
Step 2: Add your cloud drives to MultCloud and allow MultCloud to access those clouds.
Step 3: Select the source and target directories of your clouds in “Cloud Sync” interface.
Step 4: Click the purple button “Sync Now” in the lower right interface. And the sync task is done.
In view of the fact that the tasks create in MultCloud are actually run by the background program of MultCloud instead of your computer and internet, you can straightly shut down the browser window or your computer even when the sync task isn’t completed. In other words, there’s no need for you to worry about the unstable internet speed and the much time which you may spend as soon as you start to sync clouds through MultCloud rather than manually downloading and uploading.
Diverse Modes for You to Sync
MultCloud offers 2 normal sync modes in one-way and two-way for free users. If you want to keep the files in the source and target directories always the same, choose “Two-way Sync” instead of “One-way Sync”. When you subscribe MultCloud to a higher level, you could get another 6 excellent sync modes under One-way Sync such as Mirror, Move, Cumulative, Update, Incremental and Full Backup Sync.
- Mirror Sync: Files in the source and target places are always the same after syncing.
- Move Sync: When the sync task is done, all the files kept in the source place will be deleted.
- Cumulative Sync: When deleting the files in the source place, the same files in the target place will not be deleted.
- Update Sync: All the files in the target place will be deleted, and then the added or modified files in the source place will be transferred to the target place instead.
- Incremental Sync: A subfolder will be created in the target place and the added or modified files in the source place will be transferred to it.
- Full Backup Sync: A subfolder will be created in the target place and all the files in the source place will be transferred to it.
If you want to sync your clouds in a more time-sensitive way, the new sync mode “Real Time Sync” can help you to sync one cloud to another as soon as some changes have been made in the source cloud. And under the condition that you are a premium user of MultCloud, you are allowed to have two Real-time sync tasks performing at the same time. Apart from automatically sync your clouds in real-time, you can also set daily, weekly or monthly scheduled task to sync your cloud drives periodically.
Additional Options about Cloud Sync
MultCloud can send an email notification to you when your sync task is completed so that you don’t have to log in again to look at the process. Moreover, when you upgrade your MultCloud to premium level, you can set file filter which can ignore or only sync files with certain extensions.
Good Security
As a secure channel between you and your cloud drive services, MultCloud will not save any data during transfer and file management. It uses OAuth authorization system which is supported by leading Cloud services like Google Drive to access your clouds without recording the corresponding username and password. Another security measure called 256-bit AES encryption is applied by MultCloud to protect your data from tampering, cracking or interception during data transfer.
