4 Ways to Style Your Facial Hair in 2021

Did you know that 23.6% of men can’t grow a beard? If you can, then consider yourself lucky!

But while you’re fortunate enough to grow some facial hair, you might be stumped when it comes to beard styles. You grow it out and then just leave it in a mess, which isn’t the most attractive look.

If that sounds like you, then you’re in luck. Here are 4 ways to style your facial hair in 2021!

  1. Full Beard

If you’re not that great with styling, then a full beard is a great one to try. All you’ll have to really do is grow out your beard and then trim the sides and shave parts of your face so you don’t look like a wild beast!

A good way to shape your beard is to take the beard trimmer and start up by your sideburns. Shave in a diagonal line down to your bottom lip and you’ve got a nice shape to your beard.

It’s up to you if you want to pair this look with a mustache, but we think it’d look better with one!

  1. The 5 O’Clock Shadow

Do you look weird when you go clean-shaven? But do you also look just as weird if you grow a full beard? Then a happy medium is the 5 o’clock shadow!

Simply don’t shave for 2 to 5 days, depending on how quickly and thick your facial hair grows. Once it comes in, take the beard trimmer and clean up some lines across your face (like in the full beard instructions) so you don’t look unkempt.

  1. Beardstache

If you prefer more of a hipster look, then you’ll want to try the beardstache.

With this look, you’ll want to grow out your mustache more than your beard. What’s great is you can experiment with all sorts of mustaches too, like the handlebar, horseshoe, or walrus.

Then, for the beard part, grow just a little stubble out. This, paired with the mustache, will help accentuate your jaw for a sharp look.

  1. Mutton Chops

You might think of this facial hair style as an ironic one, but it’s in fact coming back into fashion! It’ll be a great way to channel your inner Wolverine.

To do so, grow out your beard to a medium length. Then use the beard trimmer as you would with a full beard, but also clear out a good portion of your beard below your lip.

Whichever way you decide to style your facial hair, don’t forget to first use some beard shampoo. This will keep your whiskers looking shiny and healthy!
